Surgical Experiences

Dr Lee’s surgical scope includes:

• Extensive cataract surgical experience, including conventional extra-capsular extraction and phacoemulsification. Her work covers more complex cases such as angle-closure cataract, pseudoexfoliation syndrome, hypermature cataract and subluxated cataract.

• Intra-ocular lens (IOL) implantation, including Toric and Multifocal lenses.

• As a glaucoma specialist, her surgical practice includes trabeculectomy using the Moorfields Safe Surgery System, glaucoma drainage device (tube-shunt) implantation, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries (MIGS) such as Xen Gel Stent, i-Stent & i-Stent Inject, Hydrus Microstent and Per SEFLO microshunt.

• Laser procedures for glaucoma in both adult and paediatric patients.

• Additional ophthalmic surgical experience: pterygium excision with conjunctival-limbal graft; eyelid surgeries (chalazion incision/curettage, entropion correction, blepharoplasty); management of eye injuries (eyelid laceration, corneoscleral repair, globe rupture repair); and intravitreal injection and laser therapy for diabetic retinopathy.
